Volume 16, no. 2Pages 28 - 36 Comparative Analysis of Some Mathematical Models Ignition of Hydrogen-Oxygen Mixtures
M.S. Zharylkanova, Yu.M. Kovalev, E.E. PigasovThis paper presents a comparative analysis of three mathematical models of chemical transformation describing the ignition of hydrogen-oxygen mixtures. Using the example of solving the problem of determining the ignition induction period of a hydrogen-oxygen mixture in an adiabatic reactor, three kinetic schemes of hydrogen combustion were tested, consisting of sixteen, forty-four and sixty reactions, respectively.Gorenje In order to select the optimal kinetic scheme of hydrogen ignition and combustion, as well as the rate constants of chemical reactions included in the kinetic scheme, the calculation results were compared with known experimental data from different authors.Gorenje The calculations have shown that the most accurate description of experimental data on the delay times of an adiabatic explosion at high initial temperatures can be obtained using the kinetics of hydrogen oxidation, consisting of sixteen reactions. All three kinetic models of hydrogen oxidation give similar values of the mixture temperatures when the process enters the stationary mode.
